16 and Pregnant Star: Pregnant on Purpose?

Rumors have been all over the tabloids concerning one....interesting 16& Pregnant star. The popular MTV show follows the lives of teen girls who become pregnant. It follows them through their money struggles and relationship problems and has be

come very popular.

One particular girl on the show, Jennifer Del Rio, has been accused of getting pregnant on purpose just so she could get on the show by her boyfriend Josh Smith. Josh apparently even requested a restraining order against her because of her "compulsive lying". He believes that she got pregnant on purpose. She apparently told him that she was already pregnant and that when they had sex, they didn't need to use a condom. Well, she sure fooled him.

He says she wanted "so desperately to be on the show". I really hope this isn't the truth but I guess we should've seen something like this coming, right MTV? I'm all for MTV shows but I'm not so sure that having a show about 16 year old pregnant girls is such a good idea. Do we want people to think that its normal and ok to get pregnant at 16? The girls on the show also become instant stars, appearing all over the tabloids, as well as TV. Most of the 16 and Pregnant girls continue onto the show Teen Mom, which continues to follow the lives of the girls. Should we be worried about the popularity of these shows or thankful that its showing people how hard and what a struggle it is to have a child at the age of 16? Whatever the show is doing, I hope no one else gets pregnant for the sake of the show. Trust me girls, its not going to be worth it.

Recently I ordered some products from Mel's Sweet Bar, which is an online store run by Mel or MakeupbyMel on Youtube. I was very happy with my order! This online store sells luxury homemade soaps, body scrubs, and bathbombs. They look so adorable, like the Tiffany&Co. inspired "cupcake" soap above, which I purchased (fresh scent and was extremely moisturizing!). Most soaps are priced at $5.00 - $6.00. So affordable! They also ship all over the world!

I was so happy with my order from Mel's Sweet Bar! Everything was hand-made, neat, adorable, and smelled delicious. Here is what I ordered:

Birthday Cake Bath Bomb $6.00 (smells like cake batter! Yum!)

Red Velvet Cupcake Soap $6.00 (Smells just like a red velvet cupcake from the bakery!)

Chocolate Cupcake Soap $6.00 (rich cocoa scent! absolutely fantastic)

I was so happy with my order from Mel's Sweet Bar! Everything smelled fantastic and was really a treat! I will definitely be ordering from Mel's Sweet Bar again!

My Favorite Spring Perfume

DKNY Be Delicious

Today's post is going to be about my favorite perfume for spring! My favorite spring perfume is the DKNY Be Delicious perfume. I absolutely adore this scent!

Description: The scent of apple with a sophisticated blend on exotic flowers and sensual woods.

Notes: American Apple, Cucumber, Grapefruit, Candid Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose, Violet, Sandalwood, Tender Skin Accord, Blonde Woods, White Amber.

Style: Free-spirited. Refreshing. Unique.

This scent is very citrusy and great for spring and summer! This is always a good perfume for the younger age groups because its not so heavy and strong.

Beachy Summer Waves Hair Tutorial

Want beachy waves for summer like Vanessa's? Stay tuned to see how you can achieve this look!

**For this look, be sure you have bobby pins, a spray bottle with salt water inside,a shine-enhancing spray, and a blowdryer.

Steps

1. First shampoo and condition you hair as you normally would. Gently towel dry your hair.

2. Take a small section of your hair and twist it into a spiral.

3. Wrap the hair into a tight coil against your head and secure the coil with a bobby pin tightly to your head.

4. Lightly mist the coil with shine spray

5. Repeat those steps until your entire head of hair is coiled.

6. Remove all the pins and flip your hair upside down.

7. Tousle the roots to give volume and even spray a little hairspray at the roots. This will help you achieve the windblown look.

8. Finally, mist your hair very lightly with salt water. This will give your hair a beachy texture. If your not into that type of texture, feel free to skip this step.

FASHION TIP

-Earrings such as the one's Vanessa is wearing really help pull off the look. The earrings give it that Bohemian Chic look. Add some fun bangles and a sun dress with some adorable gladiator sandals and your set to go! Enjoy!

Lauren Conrad Makeup Tutorial

Today we will be doing a look featuring the beautiful Lauren Conrad. She is absolutely stunning and her makeup always looks fabulous! It is rumored that Lauren only wears drugstore makeup! She always has a neutral look so I thought this look would be great for spring! Let's get started!

Steps to achieving this look!

* What I'm using will be in parentheses

1. Moisturize your face. You want healthy and moisturized skin so your makeup doesn't look flaky or cracked. ( Neutrogena moisturizer for combination skin)

2. Apply your face primer. This will keep your makeup looking fresh all day. (Makeup Forever HD Primer)

3. Apply your foundation. Lauren's skin look absolutely flawless so be sure to use a full coverage foundation. (Smashbox "Camera Ready" Foundation)

4. Now prime your eyes. This will keep the shadows on all day. (Urban Decay Primer Potion)

*This step is optional since you will be using a base*

5. Apply a shimmery, beige base all over your eyes. (Bare Study Paint Pot by Mac)

6. Sweep a golden, beige eyeshadow all over your lid. (All That Glitters by Mac)

7. Next, using a black eyeliner, line your lower lash line. Stay as close to the lash line as possible. Remember, only line about halfway. Don't go all the way to the inner corner. (Smolder by Mac)

8. Now we are going to line the upper lash line. Using a black gel liner, draw a medium- thick line across the upper lash line. Start out thinner at the inner corner and gradually get thicker towards the outer corner. Wing out the liner slightly. (Blacktrack by Mac)

9. Mascara time! Lauren's lashes have a lot of volume and length so make sure your mascara covers that. I recommend always buying drugstore mascaras. High end mascaras are great too, but you can find amazing mascaras at drugstores that are the same quality if not better! You can save a lot of money and find a great mascara. (Covergirl Lashblast Fusion)

10. Lauren has beautiful tan skin so be sure to use bronzer! (Nars Laguna Bronzer)

11. Don't forget your blush! Her blush is a beautiful pink flush that works great with her bronzer! (Nars Orgasm Blush)

12. Finally, finish with the lips. She has pink/nude lips most of the time. (Angel lipstick by Mac) and add some gloss! (Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss)

Spring Makeup Tutorial

Can you lovelies believe that its already SPRING? Personally, my favorite season! Today we will be doing a tutorial using fun, spring colors! To me, spring is all about being light and fresh. So today's tutorial will reflect that! Let's begin!

**We will be using this picture of Selena Gomez as the model. She is so beautiful and she always wear light, beautiful makeup. She is stunning and always looks so great, with or without makeup! I think she wears this look really well.

1. First, prime your face. I'm using Makeup Forever HD Primer. I find that this works best for me but you can use whatever you have. Also prime your eyelids, under your brow bone, and under your lower lash line. This will keep your shadows on all day. I'm using Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

2. Now apply your favorite foundation. For a light, but flawless coverage, I will be using Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer. As a setting powder, I'm using a Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural.

3. Next take any eyeshadow brush you own and take a light, golden- bronze color. Sweep this all over the lid. I'm using Birthday Suit from the Too Faced Naked Eye Palette.

4. Now take a fluffy crease brush and blend a shimmery light brown into your crease. I'm using Woodwinked by Mac. I absolutely love this color. It looks great in the crease.

5. Take an angled brush and a dark brown eyeshadow and, while staying very close to the lash line, sweep it lightly under the lashes. I'm using Espresso by Mac

6. Line your waterline with a brown eyeliner. I'm using Brownboarder by Mac

7. Coat your lashes with your favorite mascara. Remember, you don't want super volume or ridiculous length. This is a natural look and should remain simple. I recommend a Lash Discovery mascara.

8. As you can see in the picture above, Selena has a light pink blush on. It gives a nice flush without being overpowering. I'm using Well Dressed by Mac. This is a little different than Selena's, but it will work nicely.

9. Apply a light pink/nude lipstick. I'm using Angel by Mac.

10. Lastly, apply your lipgloss. It should be pretty clear but with a light pink tint. I'm using Underage by Mac.
